Massage is for Everyone
At Hope Massage Therapy we believe that everyone, from athletes to the elderly can benefit from therapeutic massage. Massage can help the body to relax, and to heal faster from stress and injury. Our techniques include Swedish, geriatric, deep tissue, pain management, prenatal and post-natal, and stress management massage. These techniques, used in our peaceful and relaxing treatment room, help the body to recover from the stresses of everyday life, or from injury.
Michelle Ekert, R.M.T. has accumulated thirty years of experience in the effective use of these techniques. Before becoming qualified as a Massage Therapist, Michelle worked as a support worker in assisted living residences. She quickly realized the importance of massage and was encouraged to qualify as a Massage Therapist in order to help those who most needed help. She works effectively with clients of all ages and health challenges. When treating clients, Michelle first relaxes the top muscle layer. She then gradually increases pressure to bring relief to lower layers. At all times during treatment, there is constant feedback from clients. This allows them to control the treatment they are receiving.
At Hope Massage Therapy we are keen to offer massage opportunities to those who need treatment in the comfort of their own home, providing that all persons living there screen negative for COVID - 19. There is no extra fee for this service. The treatment room at Hope Massage is not wheelchair accessible. Clients who are unable to access our facilities may therefore take advantage of our on-site service.
